Wrongdoers and what they worshipped are gathered and questioned, and they blame one another for going astray. They were arrogant when told there is no god but Allah and called the Prophet ﷺ a mad poet.
Disbelievers, full of pride, call the Prophet ﷺ a magician and liar and are amazed he calls to one God. They are reminded of Nuh's people, 'Aad, Firawn, Thamud and Lut's people, who denied and were punished.
