Story7:80–84Lut Warns His People
Tells how Lut warned his people about their shameful behavior, but they rejected him, so Allah saved Lut and his family except his wife, and punished the wrongdoers.

And [We had sent] Lot when he said to his people, "Do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds [i.e., peoples]? 80 Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people." 81 But the answer of his people was only that they said, "Evict them from your city! Indeed, they are men who keep themselves pure." 82 So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who remained [with the evildoers]. 83 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones]. Then see how was the end of the criminals. 84

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If you find anyone doing as Lot's people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done. Abu Dawud said: A similar tradition has also been transmitted by Sulaiman b. Bilal from 'Amr b. Abi 'Umar. And 'Abbad b. Mansur transmitted it from 'Ikrimah on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas who transmitted it from the Prophet (ﷺ). It has also been transmitted by Ibn Juraij from Ibrahim from Dawud b. Al-Husain from 'Ikrimah on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas who transmitted it from the Prophet (ﷺ)
