Opening the verse
أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا ۖ لَـٰكِنِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
How [clearly] they will hear and see the Day they come to Us, but the wrongdoers today are in clear error.
Scholars differ
"Sister of Harun" is explained in two ways: that Maryam descended from Harun, the brother of Musa, or that she was named after a righteous man of her time called Harun. A hadith in Sahih Muslim says people used to be named after earlier prophets and righteous people.
