Opening the verse
قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ
He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allāh that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?
